Renovation / Building Projects
Harcourts have long been experienced in a wide range of improvement, repair and construction works for clients. Such projects in recent times have included items under the following headings:
Renovation - To include preparation for letting. This usually features a report on items requiring attention from repairs and redecoration through to provision of curtains, carpets and white goods as appropriate.
Re-arrangement work – Typically improving the layout of properties for enhanced value purposes. Such an approach includes modernising kitchens and bathrooms and analysing the layout to discover whether an additional bedroom or other value-adding facility can be provided within the existing structure.
Extension – To include additional facilities for properties where value can be added for either capital or rental purposes. Some recent examples include kitchens, additional bedrooms and garages. Planning and Building Regulation Approval gained as required.
Conversion of buildings - This is the development of buildings into separate flats, including obtaining appropriate Planning and Building Regulation Approval.
New Construction - Recent projects in this category have included the construction of a block of six new flats on a client-owned site in the Shirley area and the construction of a detached house in Bassett. Specialists are employed as required and Planning and Building Regulation Approval is obtained.
Major Restoration – Properties with structural or advanced maintenance needs.
